Georgia Confederate Money Merchants & Planters Bank 2 Dollars

A two dollar bill on the Merchants and Planters Bank of the State of Georgia, which was issued slightly prior to the beginning of the Civil War on June 1, 1859 from Savannah Ga. This obsolete GA currency features portraits of George Washington on the left and Martha Washington on the right with a farming scene in the center. This two dollar civil war currency circulated heavily during the Great Rebellion, it shows a lot of wear with a couple large pinholes and ink erosion in the lower right signature and will grade fine.
