West Virginia Confederate Money Bank of VA One Dollar 1861 Fine

A piece of confederate money from the western part of Virginia. Confederate money from what is now West Virginia is not very common. The state was split with its loyalties during the Civil War with most of the eastern and southern part of the states had Confederate sympathies, the rest of the state was Union. This is a one dollar banknote from the Bank of Virginia from the Charleston branch, which is written in by hand. The date is December 01, 1861 and this confederate money will grade Fine with a couple brown aging spots. The back is plain and is commensurate with the condition.
