VA Obsolete Civil War Currency 50 cents

Type of Confederate Money - A change note issued by the county of Scott Virginia during the Civil War in the denomination of 50 cents.
Nickname or Vignettes - This confederate money is the variety that has the small tree at the left end and the large green overprint with the denomination of 50.
Date & Place of Issue - Issued during the early part of the Civil War on August 15, 1862 from Estillville Virginia. Estillville is now known as Gate City. The city and Scott County is located in the southwest tip of Virginia and was renamed because the city was the gateway to the western coal fields.
Serial Number & Plate Letter - 3362 written in brown ink and plate letter is C.
Condition - almost uncirculated with a long lateral fold in the lower half.
Back - The backs are plain
