This is 2/3 of the complete set of Civil War currency issued by Prince Edward county during the Civil War. A quarter note and also a 30 cent denomination were issued as well as these 4 notes. Condition - very good to fine Back - plain and all show wear as per grade Criswell & Fricke Numbers - Not applicable Number Issued & Printers - Unknown Type of Bank Paper Used - cheaper type of brown paper Payable In - The county of Prince Edward will pay to bearer (the amount) according to the act of assembly of Virginia passed March 29th, 1862. The property , real and personal of the people of the county bound for payment. Receivable for any dues to the county. Notes - The picture shows the actual set of fractional currency issued by Prince Edward county during the Civil War in 1862. Even though only grading very good to fine, this is still a nice looking set of Virginia Confederate scrip notes, they are pretty evenly matched.
