This 10.00 currency from Virginia during the Civil War is from the scarcer Hoyer and Ludwig series. Liberty is featured to the left on this confederate money. The note states that the Commonwealth of Virginia Will pay to bearer on demand at the treasury Ten Dollars and issued from Richmond on October 15, 1861. The serial number of this note is 1871 and plate letter is A. The front and back of this actual example of Virginia Confederate Money can be seen in the pictures.
