Civil War era fractional note from Lynchburg, Virginia dated May 1, 1862. This bill has been graded Fine by PCGS and are sealed in a protective plastic sleeve for safe keeping. This vintage note states that "The City of Lynchburg will pay to Bearer, in Current Funds, Fifty Cents, When demanded in sums of one or more dollars. This note also has a vignette on its right side of a farmer plowing a field with a team of horses.
