Type 69 Virginia Capitol 5.00
The type 69 of Confederate Money featured the state capitol at Richmond Virginia in the center and on the right side of the bill was C. G. Memminger, who was the secretary of the treasury for the Confederate States of America thru most of the Civil War. This confederate money was made by Keatinge and Ball, they produced over 5.5 million of these notes and they are readily available today in all grades. The back of this bill was blue with FIVE in the center and a numeral 5 in each corner. This confederate money was issued from Richmond Virginia during the later stages of the Civil War on February 17, 1864..
