Type 20 - Type 26 Confederate Money

Type 20 and 21 of this series of confederate money both featured Alexander Stephens, the vice president of the confederacy during the Civil War. Type 22 is another of the red tint bills produced by the Southern Bank Note company and is fairly rare especially in the better grades. Type 23 is the Corn Gatherer bill and is rare, this confederate note had an orange overprint and it is very hard to find these with much of the orange overprint left. No Uncirculated examples of this type are known to exist. Types 24, 25 and 26 all feature R. M. T. Hunter, who was the secretary of state of the confederate government during the Civil War. T -25 and T - 26 also feature C. G. Memminger who was the treasury secretary of the southern government during the conflict. These examples are fairly easy to obtain.
