Texas Confederate Money CR24 Twenty Dollars Very Fine

A nice mid grade Texas confederate money note which will grade very fine. Criswell lists this as Texas variety TW24, which means it is for Civil service and thus is slightly rarer than the warrant for military service. The paper on this CSA civil war currency has a nice pink tint, which doesn't show up clearly in the picture. At the left is Ceres standing on a pedestal and at the right is a steamboat along with sailing ships. Also at the bottom is a very small vignette of a shock of wheat. This Texas confederate money was issued early in the Civil War on July 16, 1862 from Austin.
