Tennessee Obsolete Money Farmers & Merchants Bank Three Dollars 1854

A nice choice very fine obsolete note from the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Memphis. This pre Civil War currency was issued from Memphis Tennessee on April 04, 1854. There is a portrait of George Washington on the left and a nice big blue THREE overprint which really adds to the eye appeal of this currency. The Farmers and Merchants bank was chartered on November 27, 1833 and was the first bank to be established in Memphis Tennessee. The picture shows the actual Tennessee obsolete note that is for sale. The back of this TN currency is plain and commensurate with the grade.
