Tennessee Motorcycle License Plates

The first Tennessee motorcycle license plate was issued around 1915 and is very scarce today as are most of the early TN motorcycle license plates. In 1936 Tennessee began issuing state shaped motorcycle tags and this continued through 1965. These small state shaped plates are very desirable with collectors today. If you wish to use any of our tags for year of manufacture on your antique Harley Davidson, Indian, BMW or any other classic motorcycle, you will first need to contact the department of motor vehicles to see if they allow the use of license plates for YOM purposes.
