Type 69 confederate money grading very choice new 64 ppq
Type of Confederate Money - Five Dollar treasury note issued by the CSA government during the latter part of the Civil War in 1864.
Nickname or Vignettes - The center vignette is the state capitol of Virginia and the man on the right is C. G. Memminger who was the secretary of the treasury for the CSA government during the Civil War.
Date & Place of Issue - Issued from Richmond Virginia on February 17, 1864
Serial Number & Plate Letter - 78443A. At the time of this listing I also have another type 69 note listed that is from the same sheet as this one, it has the plate letter of G. It is a rare opportunity anymore to be able to acquire 2 confederate notes that were originally from the same sheet.
Condition - Professionally graded by PCGS at Very Choice New 64 PPQ premium paper quality.
Back - the backs of the type 69 obsolete civil war currency were blue. This example is choice as per grade with a nice deep dark blue color.
