A facsimilie type 46 ten dollar confederate note which was an advertising note. The back is printed in green and says This ten dollar bill will be accepted as cash for full face value by the Bernarr Macfadden Healthatorium with four others of the same kind and denomination if presented during the month of November 1913 together with payment of cash for the balance of a ten weeks arrangement for full treatment at the regular rates at the Bernarr Macfadden Healthatorium and was located at Grand Blvd, Chicago. McFadden was born in 1868 and as a child was sickly, he became a follower of good exercise and nutrition and he established several health spas. They must have done him good, as he lived until 1955. This bill grades extra fine.
