Type 43 Confederate Money

Judah P. Benjamin 2.00 Confederate money issued June 2nd, 1862 from Richmond Virginia. B. Duncan printed this note and added the green overprint, but the Confederacy was unwilling to pay the additional cost of this green overprint. So after printing for a small while, Duncan discontinued the green overprint, making these notes fairly scarce as only 194,900 were printed. Then of this amount, the bills circulated heavily, so the better condition notes are very scarce. Confederate money of this type is common in the worst grades of good and very good. It is available in fine, but the cost is much higher, therefore a lot of notes that are graded fine actually might not be fine. With this note, you don't have that worry, because it has been professionally graded by PMG at Fine 12. The serial number is 60960 and the plate position was 8, there are several pinholes. An uncirculated note of this type 43 Confederate money will run between 10,000 to 20,000.00. The actual front and back of this confederate money can be seen in the pictures.
