T40 $100 1862. The paper of this note is quite brighter than what the picture suggests. This Confederate train note has three interest paid stamps on the back in black ink. One has interest paid at Augusta January 1, 1863. Another is a circular stamp with the date Sept 27. A third says interest paid January 1, 1864 at Tallahasse, somehow this confederate money made its way down to the wilderness of Florida during the end of the war. Florida interest paid stamps aren't seen that often on these bills. Rated Fine-Very Fine. "The front of the obsolete note has an image of a passenger train moving along railroad tracks with a group of people standing in the foreground, and a ship sailng in the background. On the left side, this CSA bill has an image of a young woman holding a basket on her head. This Civil War tender states Six Months After the Ratification of a Treaty of Peace between the Confederate States and the United States. The Confederate States of America will pay One Hundred Dollars to Bearer with Interest at two cents per day. Richmond, September 18, 1862. The picture shows the actual Type 40 train note that is for sale, in addition a view of the back of this confederate money can be seen in the photo gallery and this shows all the stamps.
