Type 30 Obsolete Civil War Currency Type of Confederate Money - 10.00 Note from the 3rd series of currency that was issued by the Confederate States of America. Nickname or Vignettes - "Sweet Potatoe Dinner" The left vignette is a portrait of R. M. T. Hunter, the Confederate Secretary of State, on the right side is Minerva, the Goddess of War. The center vignette features General Francis Marion's sweet potatoe dinner, from which the note's nickname originates. Date & Place of Issue - Richmond, Virginia on September 02, 1861. This was the last note of the confederacy to be printed with this date and was produced up into 1863. Serial Number & Plate Letter - Various Condition - Fine to Very Fine Back - The backs of this confederate money are plain. The conditions of these notes are as per grade, some with light pencil markings. Criswell & Fricke Numbers - Various Number Issued & Printers - 1,939,810 issued by B. Duncan of Columbia South Carolina Type of Bank Paper Used - Average quality plain paper Payable In - Fundable in eight percent stock or bonds of the Confederate States Notes - I have more than one of these bills of T-30 Confederate Money so the one you recieve might not be the one in the picture, but all will be the same fine to very fine quality.
