Type 28 Confederate Money 10 dollars Another nice T28 issued from Richmond Virginia during the Civil War on September 02, 1861 and grading EF-AU. This is a very nice looking note, there is a paper blemish on the woman shoulders, however, this is not very noticeable until you look for it. There are also a couple small pinholes and some writing in pencil on the back, but other than that this Civil War Currency has the appearance of a much higher grade note. Criswell lists this as variety 231 and Fricke as PF2. This means that there is a large number below the serial number A and was printed by Hoyer and Ludwig of Richmond Virginia, this is one of the not so common varieities available of the T-28. The vignette on the left hand side is Ceres and Commerce with an urn. The pictures show the front and back of the actual T-28 confederate money that is for sale.
T-28 Civil War Currency 10.00 issued in 1861 and grading EF-AU The T-28 stated the following: Six Months after the ratification of a treaty of peace between the Confederate States and the United States, the Confederate States of America will pay Ten Dollars to bearer.
