Type 26 Confederate Money 10 dollars

This T26 example of confederate money grades fine and is cut cancelled. The centering is good, even all around, except at the lower left corner. This bill is Criswell variety 193 with the CSA watermark in script lettering. The new PF number is T26 PF20. These examples of confederate money featured C. G. Memminger on the right who served as the Secretary of the Treasury for the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. On the left is R. M. T. Hunter who was the secretary of state for the confederacy. In the center is Hope leaning on an anchor. There were 514,000 of these notes produced by Keatinge and Ball, they are fairly common in all grades except the better grades of uncirculated, which are somewhat scarce. Expect to pay well over 1,000.00 for choice grades of uncirculated. The T26 confederate money was the same as the T25, except the 2 red Xs were added to make counterfeiting more difficult. Issued from Richmond Virginia and dated September 02, 1861.
