Your Price: $550.00
Item Number: T-21 Stephens CSA 1527
Manufacturer: CSA - Civil War
Type 21 Confederate Money 20.00 in fine condition

Type 21 Southern Obsolete 20 dollars

A nice green tint type 21 confederate money 20.00 bill issued from Richmond Virginia at the beginning of the Civil War on September 2nd 1861. This note grades fine, however on the front it has a much nicer appearance, most of the wear only shows on the back. The green tint is still nice and dark as is the printing. The back though, does show the wear that downgrades this note to fine. There are also some pencil marks on the back. Criswell has this as variety 146 and Fricke as PF-6, which means this is the type with the dark green tint and printed on paper watermarked CSA. The serial number is 1527 and plate letter is Z. The picture shows the actual confederate money type 21 that is for sale.

T-21 Civil War Currency 20.00 issued 1861 and grading fine

Type 21 notes featured Alexander Stephens, the vice president of the Confederacy along with a barrel, cotton bales and etc in the background. These bills also have a very attractive green tint and are among some of the more attractive types of confederate money. Only 164,248 were issued and they are getting hard to find in grades of extra fine and above.
