This T-20 note is Criswell variety 142, the new PF number is T20, PF8 and grades Very Fine - Extra Fine. The back is nice for the grade, some fold marks are visible, also a couple small pinholes. The T-20 confederate note featured Industry between Cupid and a beehive, the beehive also symbolized industry, in the center vignette. At the right side was Hope leaning on an anchor, on the left was Alexander H. Stephens, the vice president of the confederacy during the Civil War. There were over 2.8 million of these bills produced, they are common in all grades except choice uncirculated. These were issued from Richmond, Virginia and are dated September 02, 1861.
