Type 20 CSA Civil War Currency Very Fine 1861
A type 20 Confederate States of America twenty dollar bill. This currency was issued on September 02, 1861 from Richmond, Virginia, which was the capitol of the Confederacy. This CSA banknote features the vice president of the Southern States, Alexander Stephens, Industry seated between Cupid and a beehive. On the right is a callegorical design of Hope leaning on an anchor with a palmetto plant in the background. The grade of this banknote is very fine, with several pinholes throughout the bill, the back is plain and shows the fold marks more so than the front. The picture shows the actual type 20 Confederate Money that is for sale.
