Confederate Money Type 14, 50.00 bill issued during the civil war on September 02, 1861 at Richmond Virginia. This note is extra fine but has faults. There is age toning throughout the bill, some staining and some thin spots in the paper, which might have been paper pulls as made. The Criswell variety of this note is CR64 and the PF number is T14 PF3. The Type 14 Confederate Money featured Moneta, the goddess of money, seated by treasure chests in the center vignette and on the left side of the note were 2 sailors. This Confederate Money states that Six Months after the ratification of a treaty of peace between the Confederate States and the United States, the Confederate States of America will pay fifty dollars to bearer. The backs of this note were plain, the actual back of this example of confederate money can be viewed in the picture gallery.
