The New England Commercial Bank of Rhode Island opened its doors in 1818 and closed in 1914. This 3.00 currency from said bank was professionally graded by PMG at Gem Uncirculated 65 with the EPQ designation, which stands for excellent paper quality. New Port was the place of issue, even though this is a remainder and was never fully issued or dated, it is from the period of the 1860s so would have been used by the residents of Rhode Island during the Civil War era. The picture shows the actual union obsolete money that is for sale.
