Pennsylvania Obsolete Currency Chambersburg Turnpike VF

A very nice note from the Chambersburg and Bedford Turnpike Road Company which will grade very fine, if not better. The major fault is this obsolete money was printed on tissue like paper and there are some very thin spots in places. The terms are as follows: The president and managers of the Chambersburg and Bedford Turnpike Road company promise to pay L. Davidson or bearer, ten dollars with interest from the date hereof, for value received. Witness the seal of the said corporation and the signatures of the treasurer and secretary thereof, the 22nd day of January A. D. 1819. There is a black seal in the center which has Chambersburg and Bedford Turnpike Road Co and the date 1815, which is probably the date the company was founded, also a man swinging some kind of tool.
