Type of Confederate Money - Change note from the State Treasury of North Carolina issued during the Civil War being the 50 cent denomination.
Nickname or Vignettes - Large sailing ship in the center and a fancy design on the right side.
Date & Place of Issue - Issued during the latter part of the Civil War on January 1, 1864 from Raleigh North Carolina.
Serial Number & Plate Letter - 870 written in brown ink and plate letter K.
Condition - almost uncirculated with a rought spot in the upper right corner mainly in the border.
Back - The back of this North Carolina confederate money is plain, this back is as per grade with some brown age spots visible.
Criswell & Fricke Numbers - Criswell number NC CR-149
Number Issued & Printers - J. T. Paterson of Augusta Georgia were the printers.
Type of Bank Paper Used - Plain white paper with no mintmarks of any type.
Payable In - The state of North Carolina will pay to bearer at the Treasury on or before January 1st, 1870 fifty cents.
