Raleigh, NC - State of North Carolina Civil War era Note. 5 Cents dated January 1, 1863. About Uncirculated. This North Carolina Confederate States of America mark has a center image of two maidens standing with a cornucopia. This obsolete paper bill says "Raleigh, Jany..1863. The State of North Carolina will pay to Bearer at the Trasury on or before January 1, 1866 Five Cents. By Authority of Law." On the right side of the bill, printed vertical, it says "Receivable in Payment of All Public Dues." We have more than one of these examples in stock, the one represented in the picture may not be the exact one you get, but all of these southern confederate notes are the same almost uncirculated condition.
