New York Civil War Scrip from F. M. Wheeler 10 cents 1862 grading Fine
Civil War Change Note from the Union state of New York, issued in the amount of 10 cents by F. M. Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was most likely a merchant in Hancock New York. This bill was issued October 28, 1862 and is endorsed on the back by F. M. Wheeler. This civil war scrip note will grade fine, no major faults anywhere, just a lot of honest wear. The front says I will pay to the order of F. M. Wheeler on demand ten cents in bank bills, when presented at my office in Hancock. The serial number is 144, which was printed in red ink. The picture shows the actual New York civil war obsolete money that is for sale. The back is plain, excepting the signature of Mr. Wheeler.
