Issue by Frankfort Bank in Frankfort, New York, this peice of 1862 Northern Currency is a Bright, Fine example. Printed with green ink, the note has an image of a farmer carrying wheat over his shoulder in a field. This Civil War era note says Franfort Bank Pay the bearer Ten Cents ini current Bank notes when presented in sumes of One or more dollars. Frankfort, NY Nov. 15th 1862. J. Biedenbecker. The picture shows the actual New York Civil War scrip that is for sale, in addition a much larger view of this obsolete shinplaster can be viewed in the photograph gallery. The back is plain and shows wear as per grade.
