Motorcycle License Plates are growing in popularity along with the regular issues. The Year of Manufacture or YOM is one reason, like for antique or classic cars, some states now allow you to use antique license plates on your classic motorcycle. So if you have a classic Harley, Honda or antique Indian or any other type of motorcycle, you might be able to use antique license plates, but check your state's Year of Manufacture laws, before purchasing for this purpose. I can not keep up with the rules of all the 50 states, some states do not allow YOM and the states that do, all have different rules and regulations. Another reason for the growing popularity of motorcycle license plates is their small size, if you don't have room to display a collection of bigger license plates, then you can collect motorcycle license plates, which take a lot less room. The worst drawback to collecting motorcycle license plates is they are scarce and expensive when you get back into the 1960s and before, but you can assemble collections from the 1970s to present for a reasonable cost.
