Mississippi Confederate Money CR22 One Dollar Treasury EF-VF

Jackson, MS - State of Mississippi Cotton Pledge $1.00 Dated Nov. 1, 1862. A blue overprint is found on this attractive Cotton Pledged note with areas of bold emobossing. This Mississippi confederate money will Grade Very Fine to Extremely Fine. This CSA treasury note has two vignettes of people at work on the edges of and a locomotive in the center. This obsolete civil war note states that "The State of Mississippi will pay to bearer the sum of One Dollar out of proceeds of Cotton Pledged for Redemption of this note, at the Treasurer's Office in Jackson, Mississippi. The state of Mississippi had nothing more to offer the holders of its currency during the Civil War than the faith to pay back the money in cotton.
