A one dollar bill issued by the Somerset and Worcester Savings Bank from Salisbury Maryland during the Civil War period on November 1, 1862. This beautiful note was made by the American Bank Note company of New York and is full of vignettes. At the left is something that looks like some kind of silo or bee hive, in the center is a woman with sheep and at the right is another woman . The back is very fancywith solid green designs and round medallions. The grade of this Maryland obsolete currency is uncirculated, in addition this bill has the low serial number of 2, which makes this a very collectible piece of Civil War Currency. The picture shows the actual Maryland Union Currency that is for sale, in addition the back of this obsolete Civil War Money can be viewed in the photograph gallery.
