Georgia confederate money 5.00 Manufacturer
Type of Confederate Money - Five dollar bank note drawn on the Manufacturer's Bank of Macon GA issued during the early part of the Civil War.
Nickname or Vignettes - George Michael Troup is the man on the left, an allegorical figure in the center and on the right is the Georgia coat of arms. George Michael Troup 1780 - 1856 was a politician from the state of GA and served in the general assembly, house of representatives, senator and two term governor. He was born to plantation owners and was known as the Hercules of state's rights and was also instrumental in removing Indians from the state, acquiring Creek Indian lands for the state of Georgia around the year 1825.

Serial Number & Plate Letter - 9095 B
Condition - Very fine, but this confederate money is a beautiful bill for the grade of very fine. The green overprint is dark as it was 146 years ago as is the black printing. This and excellent centering gives this obsolete currency the appearance of a much higher grade. There are however several pinholes.
Back - The back of this GA confederate money is plain, this one shows the wear that is responsible for the lower grade of this bill, several fold marks, which are not visible from the front.
