A Louisiana parish note from the Parish of Pointe Coupee that was issued during the Civil War in July 1862. The condition is fine, the county printers used a very thin tissue type of paper for this obsolete note, there are several thin places and paper pulls. This 2.00 parish note was redeemable in confederate notes in sums of 50.00 and also stated that the police jury of the Parish of Pointe Coupee will pay two dollars to bearer. A nice looking example for fine. The back of this confederate money is plain and is as per grade. The picture shows the actual civil war confederate money that is for sale, in addition a larger image of this LA parish note can be viewed in the photograph gallery.
