Louisiana 3.00 Civil War Scrip 1862
New Orleans Louisiana 3.00 Obsolete money issued during the War of the Rebellion on October 14th, 1862. The serial number is 9891 and is machine printed, the plate letter is B. This confederate money will grade fine. The paper is worn as per grade, but the green overprint is still crisp and dark. The center vignette is Liberty standing amid tropical foilage, at the left is a a sailor at capstan and on the right are sailing ships. This obsolete money states that The City of New Orleans will pay three dollars to bearer. In addition to being a nice example of Louisiana confederate money, this is also collectible as an odd denomination note. The pictures show the front and back of the actual New Orleans, Louisiana 3.00 confederate money that is for sale.
