Texas Scrip Confederate Money 5.00 Lewis Moody Unc

Texas Confederate Money 5.00 Scrip that was issued by Lewis Moody on April 1st, 1862 from Jefferson Texas. This could also be a New Orleans note, as New Orleans is at the lower left corner along with the date. This Texas confederate money scrip states the following: On Demand I will pay the bearer Five Dollars, in a Confederate Note when presented in sums of Twenty Dollars, at the Office of Lewis Moody in Jefferson, Texas. New Orleans, April 1st, 1862. I think Lewis Moody had an early general store in Texas which he operated during the Civil War. I doubt if very many of these notes survived, it is printed on a very thin piece of a tissue like paper, but this one did survive and very nicely. I did not photograph the back, since the paper is so thin, the front comes thru. However the picture shows the actual front of the Lewis Moody, Jefferson Texas Confederate Money scrip that is for sale.
