Georgia Confederate Money 3 dollars
Confederate money from the Georgia treasury as issued from Milledgeville. This note is almost uncirculated with an uneven cut at the upper right corner. This confederate money is Georgia Type 25, which means it is a 3.00 bill, was issued on January 1st 1864 and has a green Georgia treasury seal on the front. This particular example of confederate money was signed by T. D. Tinsley for Comptroller General and R. J. McCamy for the Treasurer. This note features horses drinking from a trough in the center and Minerva is pictured on the left and Justice at the right. There were 50,000 examples of this confederate money printed, however today the Rarity is R4 which means that only 201 to 300 exsist today. The picture shows the actual treasury bill that is for sale and the actual back of this confederate money can be seen in the photo gallery.
