A five dollar denomination bank note from the Mechanic's Savings Bank, this confederate money was issued during the middle part of the Civil War era on July 6, 1863 from Atlanta, Georgia. This note has a good bit of wear and some minor edge roughness, which is all outside the frame line, however it still has a nice red overprint, which makes the bill attractive for the grade of fine.
