GA obsolete fifty cents fractional currency grading uncirculated
Georgia confederate money being the fifty cent denomination which will be in uncirculated condition, the bill looks much better and whiter than what the picture suggests. The date of issue is January 1, 1863 from Milledgeville GA. The vignette in the center is of a group of workmen talking with each other and at the bottom is the Georgia Coat of Arms. The terms of the note are as follows: The state of Georgia will pay the bearer fifty cents at the treasury in confederate treasury notes when presented in sums of five dollars and upwards. Then signed by the comptroller general and the treasurer, or by people signing for them. I have more than one of these Georgia obsolete notes, so the one you recieve might not be the one in the picture, but all will be the same uncirculated condition.
