Bank of Commerce of Savannah, Georgia date April 1, 1864. This odd denomination Georgia Confederate note has a serial number of 42. Graded Fine, this confederate money has a simple design with the text "The Bank of Commerce will pay the bearer Four Dollars in Confederate States Treasury Notes, when presented in sums of Five Dollars, and upwards. Savannah, April 1st, 1864." This is a late date note for a piece of Civil War southern currency, being dated April 01, 1864 and also desirable since the terms of the note still specifies that it will be paid in Confederate States treasury notes.
