Friedberg 2162L One Hundred Federal Reserve Note Series 1950E PCGS 58

A series of 1950D FRN note from the San Fransisco Federal Reserve Bank. This is a scarce series as only notes were issued from the New York, Chicago and San Fransisco Federal Reserve districts. This was the last series printed on the wet intalgio method as the Bureau of Engraving and Printing brought the old presses out of mothballs in 1965 to handle the need for extra money caused by the inflation of the mid 1960s. So even though these 100.00 bills are dated 1950 they were actually delivered to the Federal Reserve Banks in the latter part of 1965. The designation of this United States currency is Friedberg 2162L and is signed by Granahan and Fowler. PCGS has certified these FRN notes at Choice About New 58.
