Fifty dollar federal reserve notes started production in 1928 along with most of the other small size notes and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing still prints these today. The fifty dollar issues are a fairly small category and could be collected by an average collector if you forgot about the star notes. Collecting would be easier and cheaper if you just acquired one of each series and not one of every bank in the series. This US currency features President Ulysses S. Grant on the front and a view of the US Capitol building on the reverse.
