This obsolete civil war currency is from the City Bank of New Haven from the state of Connecticut and is the 5.00 denomination. While this is a remainder and was not fully issued it dates from around the 1860 period. This note was professionally graded by PMG and their grade is Choice Uncirculated 64 with the EPQ designation, which stands for excellent paper quality. The back of this CT obsolete money is plain and this one is choice as per grade. The picture shows the actual Connecticut obsolete civil war currency that is for sale. I also have another of these CT obsolete bills that is also graded by PMG but at a lower grade of about uncirculated 55 and with the EPQ designation. All I can see that lowered the grade of this note are a couple broad folds across the upper right corner, these aren't even noticeable from the front but can be seen from the back.
