A set of fractional Civil War Currency from the Loomis Store of Suffield Connecticut. This set consists of the nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar notes. The average grade is around fine and all notes are nicely matched, this is an attractive set for the Connecticut Civil War scrip collector. The 05 cents note is dated November 2, 1862, the 10 cents note dated October 01, 1862, the 25 cents July 22, 1862 and the 50 cents note is dated July 22, 1862. All notes say due the bearer on demand (the amount) payable in current bank notes on presentation in sums of even dollars at the store of Loomis and Company. Each note of this obsolete set is hand signed "Loomis & Co.". All the bills of this fractional currency set have low serial numbers of under 100. The backs are all plain and show the wear and pinholes as per grade. The picture shows the actual set of obsolete Connecticut Civil War fractional currency set that is for sale.
