Georgia obsolete money The City Bank 20.00 PMG 15 Fine
Type of Confederate Money - Twenty dollar bank note drawn on the City Bank. The City Bank opened its doors in 1855 and closed sometime in the 1860s, most likely during the Civil War era.
Nickname or Vignettes - The center vignette shows cattle pulling a hay wagon with a man laying on top of the hay and a boy walking beside the cattle with a pitchfork. At the right is a small vignette with dogs.
Date & Place of Issue - October 20, 1854 from Augusta Georgia
Serial Number & Plate Letter - 2664 B
Condition - professionally graded by PMG at choice fine 15 with the qualifier of small hole. The hole is at the left between the XX and honestly the hole to me is a little more than small. Other than the hole the note is very fine looking for the grade.
Back - The back of this Georgia obsolete is plain and this one shows wear as per grade.
