Type of Confederate Money - An extremely rare 1.00 Arkansas Treasury Warrant
Nickname or Vignettes - The vignette is an Indian maiden with arrows, bow and spear. She is standing and sheilding her eyes with her left hand.
Date & Place of Issue - January 17, 1862 from the Arkansas Act of November 14 and 18, 1861.
Serial Number & Plate Letter - Serial number is 19067 written by hand in brown ink.
Condition - Very Good, shows wear and has a couple slight edge tears
Back - The back of this confederate money was plain, this one shows wear and folding as per grade. Overall, this Arkansas Civil War Currency still has a fairly nice appearance for the low grade and it might be years before another one of these will be available anywhere, if ever.
Criswell & Fricke Numbers - Criswell number 4
Number Issued & Printers - None are known, however this is one of the extremely rare Arkansas Treasury warrants. Criswell has it listed as R11, which means that only 2 to 4 are known to exsist today.
Type of Bank Paper Used - The bill feels like the paper was of a fairly good quality.
Payable In - Arkansas Treasury Warrant On Auditor's Warrant. The State of Arkansas will pay to bearer One Dollar to be paid according to number.
Notes - It might be a very long time, if ever, before another of these comes along. This bill was among the first of the War issues of the State of Arkansas and the whole series of this currency is extremely rare.
