1979 Iowa License Plates

These license plates were issued by the Iowa Department of Motor Vehicles in 1979 and are New Old Stock that grades in Near Mint condition. The color of these passenger plates are green with white lettering and has the state name and year at the top with the DMV number centered, and the bottom has the Iowa county of issue. Both the DMV registration number and county vary on these because we have more than one in stock, though all are in the same near mint condition. The state of Iowa issued both front and rear tags in 1979 and the photo above shows one of the actual '79 IA license plates that are in stock.
