A beautiful pair of antique 1962 Virginia passenger car license plates which will grade near mint. These are new old stock NOS and have no flaws at all to speak of, except for a slight paint run, the gloss on the black paint is extremely shiny and new looking. The color is black with white letters with the full state name and date both located at the bottom. Virginia does have a year of manufacture or YOM law so you might be able to use these on your classic 1962 Virginia autombile, but check with the dmv before buying for YOM purposes to make sure these tags qualify. The picture shows the actual 1962 Virginia License plates that are for sale in our store. Some of the new car models introduced in 1962 wre the Chevrolet Nova, Studebaker Avanti and the Jeep Wagoneer. Pontiac introduced two new car models, both of which were successful, the Grand Prix and Lemans. Ferrari introduced the 250 GT Berlinetta. Corvette introduced a 1963 model called the Stingray this year, it was available as a convertible or a coupe.
