1959 Iowa License Plates

A beautiful set of NOS 1959 Iowa License Plates which are in unused near mint condition. These car tags also come with their original wrapper with a note from the governor. He tells the residents of Iowa that the safety program will succeed if the the owners of the license plates assume a responsibility for the safety of human lives. Then the note goes on to tell that the state is required by law to keep a record of your driving experience and if you accumulate a certain number of driving violations or accidents you license may be suspended. I have more than one of these antique 1959 Iowa license plates and some of them do not have the note from the governor, but are still in their original wrappers. The wrappers are not graded, some are torn. The color of these antique passenger plates are yellow with black letters with the state name and date both located at the top. I have more than one of these antique Iowa car tags so the one in the picture might not be the one you will recieve, but all will be the same unused near mint condition.
