1956 North Dakota License Plate

A 1956 North Dakota license plate for a passenger automobile. This tag was used, but only very slightly, it will grade excellent minus, there is a scratch on the blue numbering of the 0 and the 8. The state of ND only issued single license plates in 1956 for the rear of the car. The color is white with blue letters the state name and date, North Dakota 56 are at the top and the slogan Peace Garden State is at the bottom. This is the first year that North Dakota used this slogan, the Peace Garden is a 2300 acre park that straddles the border between Canada and ND and it's purpose is to signify the friendship between the United States and Canada. The registration number of this classic tag is 108 - 863.
