West Virginia license plate set from 1954 in very good plus condition. This is a very rare set of West Virginia license plates. West Virginia did not produce any license plates in 1955, and due to changing their registration system, there were 2 types of 1954 license plates made. One was yellow with black lettering which had West Virginia spelled out, the other license plate was black with yellow lettering and had W. Va. abbreviated. What makes this set so rare is they are both have the same number of 48-300. It is rare to have both types of the 1954s with the same number. Then to add to the bonuses they are both in very good to very good plus condition, which in itself is somewhat of a rarity with old West Virginia license plates. I also have the 1953 with the same number, if you would be interested in that, but please check the listings first to make sure that one is available.
